Start shopping for the holidays with local businesses
Itโs a good time to start shopping for the holidays and whatโs better than finding a unique gift while supporting a small business? In the past, it would attracted more than twelve thousand shoppers, but because of the pandemic she shifted and created an online shopping platform called All Things Marketplace. The Marketplace is a space where you can shop online, or in person, to find the unique gift youโre looking for. There is also going to be an All Things Marketplace Pop-up Shop in Corktown that will include 25 local businesses. The pop-up shop is at The Build Institute at The Corner, 1620 Michigan Ave Suite #120 in Detroit.

The decadeโs first meteor shower is happening this weekend
The new decade has arrived, and Mother Natureโs first gift to us all is an amazing meteor shower that will take place this weekend. The Quadrantid meteor shower will be easiest to see during the predawn hours Saturday, but is expected to begin late Friday. The Quadrantid meteor shower, which is known to produce 50-100 meteors, was named for a constellation that exists no more: the Quadrans Muralis. An astronomer by the name of Peter Jenniskens identified the parent body of the shower in 2003 as the asteroid 2003 EHI. EarthSky reported that if the asteroid is indeed the Quadrantid showerโs parent, the meteors come from a rocky body โ not an icy comet.
