LUNA PIER, Mich. – Police have both directions of I-75 closed in Monroe County due to a barricaded gunman in a vehicle.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said northbound is closed at Luna Pier and southbound is closed at South Otter Creek Road.

It is unclear how long the interstate will be closed.

Michigan State Police and Monroe County Sheriff's deputies have vehicles blocking all lanes near Gaynier Road. A K9 unit has been brought to the scene.
