Woman charged with bank robbery, hatchet attack on employee in Southfield
A woman named Blake Herring from Dearborn Heights was charged with robbing a PNC bank in Southfield and assaulting an employee with a hatchet on July 1. She was seen buying and practicing with the hatchet at a Meijer store before the robbery, during which she also brandished a handgun. The police initially suspected another man due to a similar crime occurring nearby, but he was later cleared. Herring was arrested on July 2, charged with bank robbery and assault with intent to murder, with a bond set at $2 million. The injured employee is recovering at home.
