Man arrested after abducting teen in Hamtramck -- here are some important safety reminders
A man is in police custody and waiting to be arraigned for allegedly abducting a Hamtramck teen at gunpoint on Monday morning. Officers say the 16-year-old was walking to school when classmates saw the abduction. Those classmates helped police track the victim's location through social media. It only took about thirty minutes to find the teen safe. It can be difficult to know what to do if a stranger approaches you or if you witness something like this.
