Ferry service to Mackinac Island delayed

Icy conditions in Lake Michigan and Lake Huron have delayed ferry service to Mackinac Island.  Shepler's Ferry was set to start its ferry service on April 21. However, it's pushing that back until further notice. It is monitoring the icy conditions to ensure its boats can complete the trips safely. One boat is in the water right now, and ice bubblers have been positioned around the hull to prevent damage. No service start date has been announced yet.
