Man says funeral home voicemail suggested giving him wrong ashes

A Detroit man says a voicemail left by the co-owner of Butler Funeral Home suggested she was planning to give him someone else’s cremated remains after a dispute over access to his late wife’s ashes.   The voicemail captured co-owner Charita Butler speaking after she believed she had hung up. Butler said she made the comment after his wife's sons said they didn't want him to have a portion of her ashes.
