A stroke survivor from Detroit shares his recovery journey, encourages others to keep fighting

Many of us might wonder how we would respond to a major medical crisis. The thought of a heart attack or stroke is certainly scary. We have a story of survival that’s getting recognition from the American Stroke Association. And in case you didn’t know, May is American Stroke Month. Back in 2019, a stroke left Lamont Causey, of Detroit, unable to walk, speak, or even swallow. He fought to recover and now shares his story to encourage others to keep fighting. And that makes him one of this year’s “Stroke Heroes.”
