A mom warned police her son was suicidal. Hours later, 3 were dead at a San Diego mosque.
Three adults were killed in a shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego when two teenage gunmen, ages 17 and 18, opened fire in what authorities are investigating as a hate crime. Prior to the attack, the mother of one suspect warned police her son was suicidal, armed, and missing, along with a friend. Police responded to multiple locations before arriving at the mosque, where they found the victims and later discovered the suspects’ bodies in a nearby vehicle, both having apparently taken their own lives. Investigators also recovered alleged anti-Islamic writings from the suspects' vehicle as the community mourns the tragedy.
