Fireworks violations have city pushing for more control in Sterling Heights

Sterling Heights residents racked up more than $22,000 in fines over the Fourth of July holiday weekend for illegal firework use, and city leaders say state law is tying their hands when it comes to keeping neighborhoods safe.
