Neighbors say HVAC noise sparks new legal action by Detroit

The Detroit Buildings, Safety, Engineering, and Environmental Department is preparing to file a lawsuit against a Riverview Health rehab center. Neighbors living in West Village next to the facility say a noisy HVAC system is the latest piece of an ongoing problem with noise violations. Earlier this year, the city issued thousands in fines to Riverview Health over a noisy temporary boiler outside the facility.
