Detroit neighbors say vacant house becoming haven for rats and rodents

Residents on Detroit’s west side say an abandoned house on their block has become a growing nuisance, with tall grass, weeds, scattered trash and suspected rodent activity creating concerns about safety and quality of life. Neighbors on Stahelin Avenue said the vacant property has deteriorated over time and that conditions around the home are attracting rodents that are entering nearby yards. Residents said they have repeatedly reported their concerns but feel little has been done to address the problems.
