University of Michigan picks its next president

The University of Michigan has named C. Cybele Raver as its next president. Raver comes to Michigan from Vanderbilt University, where she has served as provost and chief academic officer since 2021. She will take over leadership of the university following a period of turnover in the president’s office, with multiple people serving in the role over the past several years.
