New day, same weather ... snow

Light snow again for Tuesday

DETROIT – Get ready for more snow to move through southeast Michigan Tuesday afternoon. A final clipper in the 5-day series will bring more flakes for the lunchtime and evening rushes.

Accumulations will be 1 to 3 inches again, but travel will be tricky and slow Tuesday midday, afternoon and evening.  Highs will be near 25.

Tuesday night will be very cold with lows in the teens.

Skies become partly cloudy after midnight.

Detroiters will have a day to make their blisters go away from their snow shoveling hands Wednesday.  Mostly sunny skies will prevail.

Temps will be just below freezing near 30 degrees so not much thawing will occur.

Snow blowers will need to remain warm for Thursday as another round of snow arrives with 1 to 4 more inches of flakes.

All of this will be a good set up for Friday and the weekend because the Motown Winter Blast will take off with partly to mostly sunny skies in Campus Martius, afternoon temps in the low and mid 30s and low temps near 20.
