Clouds linger across metro Detroit on Tuesday

Temps will be near 70, with rain on the horizon

DETROIT – Patchy fog will greet many of us this morning with temps in the mid 40s as you step outside.

Mostly sunny skies through mid to late morning will give way to high cloudiness into the afternoon.

Highs will be near 70 degrees with winds SE 5-12 mph with a few gusts closer to 20 mph.

Rain on the radar is west of us all day but it is slowly creeping towards Metro Detroit.

The Tigers ALCS Game 3 will be comfortable and dry with nothing more than a few sprinkles possible towards the end of the afternoon.

Most of the rain will start moving into our area this evening around 8 or 9 pm with scattered light rain showers into early Wednesday morning.

Roads should be drying for Wednesday morning's commute.

For the rest of your hump day, expect scattered light showers as highs only climb into the low to mid 60s at best.

Winds will be picking up W 10-20 mph dragging the light rain showers through the afternoon and evening.

That means ALCS Game 4 may see a few showers tomorrow night.

We have Tigers' Playoff games today through Thursday, so we will be watching those midweek developments very closely. Track your neighborhood temps, radar, and an early look at your weekend forecasts on the new ClickOnDetroit app (it's free!) in your app store.
