Spring showers moving through Tuesday

Temps in the upper 70s to low 80s

DETROIT – Some hazy sunshine through the waves of clouds is warming us into the upper 70s and low to mid 80s around Metro Detroit this Tuesday afternoon.

We'll see scattered rain showers … mainly after 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Some of those showers could produce heavy downpours and lightning.

Right now, there is no risk for severe weather today and we will certainly let you know if any stronger spring storms develop. A cold front is pushing through from north to south later this afternoon and evening.

These showers will likely not hit everyone and could be enough to delay your outdoor plans at the very least.

Cloud cover will linger on Wednesday with the best chance for wet weather closest to the Ohio and Indiana borders.

Those showers will flirt with our southern and western counties throughout tomorrow and then sag further south as the afternoon goes along. Highs tomorrow will be slightly cooler behind the cool front in the upper 70s.

We should finish off the work and school week in the mid to upper 70s. Sunshine comes back Thursday through most of the weekend and temperatures become very comfortable. Could we see more 80s this weekend?
