Warmer temps, but rain chances stick around

Warmer winds later in the day

DETROIT – Conditions will slowly warm up as we continue through the work week with temps getting into the upper 70s to perhaps low 80s Thursday and Friday.

One difference today is a switch in wind direction.

Warmer winds from the SW 6-12 mph may gust close to 20 mph and those winds will help warm us up. Grab the sunglasses for the early half of the day and you may need the umbrella at times this afternoon and early evening with spotty rain and thundershowers.

And, there is a chance for spotty rain showers each of the next few afternoons as we are stuck in a pattern all the way through Saturday.

As temps warm closer to 80-82 degrees Friday and Saturday, more moisture from the south will spread in and we will see rains scattered about the area on Friday and Saturday afternoons with a few gully washers.

Sunday and most of Monday look dry and we will let you know if that pattern changes.

The good news for many… we are going to feel more summer-like this weekend into the low 80s and a bit more muggy.
