Scattered light snow showers Tuesday night in metro Detroit

Spectacular weekend ahead!

DETROIT – Scattered light snow showers tonight, with lows this time dropping below freezing -- into the upper 20s.

Skies become partly cloudy for most of us on Wednesday, although there could still be some scattered light snow showers in the eastern Thumb region.  Highs in the mid 30s.

Partly cloudy Wednesday night, with lows in the low to mid 20s.

Thursday is actually an interesting day, weatherwise (don't worry, I don't expect any trouble).

A big nor'eastern storm enveloping New England will throw some of its moisture back to the west, and perhaps give us some cloud cover…particularly in the far north and eastern parts of our area…so I'm going to call it partly cloudy for now.  You folks in Ontario (particular Bruce, Huron, Middlesex, and Lambton Counties and eastward from there) will actually be near the western edge of the snow pattern…so stay alert on this.  Highs in the mid 30s.

Partly cloudy Thursday night, with lows in the mid 20s.

Mostly sunny Friday and Saturday, with highs in the upper 30s on Friday and low 40s on Saturday.  Then partly cloudy on Sunday, with highs in the mid 40s!  This looks like a great weekend to get those Christmas lights up if you haven't already, get some shopping done, tailgate for the Lions final home game of the season, or otherwise just get out and enjoy some spectacular early winter weather!
