DETROIT – Sunshine returns this weekend for Detroit in Southeast Michigan and with it some higher temperatures.

Friday evening will have mostly cloudy skies but it remains mostly dry across the region. Temperatures will be in the middle 20s at dinnertime. Families will need to dress in layers as they go out to dinner or to Cirque du Soleil or the 2016 North American International Auto Show at Cobo.

Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy overnight as it gets colder. Lows will be around 20°F in the city of Detroit and in the middle and upper teens and surrounding neighborhoods.

The sun reappears on Saturday. Skies will be partly sunny. With the added sunshine, temperatures get close to 30°F or slightly more.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy and cold. Lows will be in the middle and upper teens.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with temperatures even higher. Afternoon readings will be in the low and middle 30s. Conditions will be perfect for people going to and from the Auto Show on its last day.

 

Monday will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy and chilly. Daytime temps return to the middle 30s.

 

Detroit's next chance of snow is Monday night and Tuesday.
