Metro Detroit weather: Saturday night will be fair, warm
Sunday will be hotter
DETROIT – Temps take off like a rocket this weekend and early next week in Detroit. It will feel like late-July with heat indices above 90 degrees into early next week.

Saturday night will be fair and warm. Residents will need their air conditioners with overnight lows in the middle and upper 60s.
Sunday will be hotter. Highs will be near 90 degrees and in the low 90s. It becomes more humid. So much so that this will be the first day, this year, to take precautions concerning heat index. Heat indices will be in the mid 90s. Families must remain hydrated. Water is the best beverage. Staying in or near air-conditioned areas is an excellent idea. Wearing light, loose-fitting clothes is a must.
Monday and Tuesday will be mostly sunny and just as hot and hot-feeling Highs will be in the low 90s. Heat indices in the mid to upper 90s.
Wednesday has a chance of showers and storms with temps in the low to mid 80s. Cooler, but still warm, Thursday with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Saturday Night: Fair skies, mild. Air Temp: Low 60s; Water Temp: 61; Waves: 1-2 ft.; Wind: SW 5-15 kts.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, very warm. Air Temp: Mid 80s; Water Temp: 62; Waves: 1-3 ft.; Wind: SW 10-15 kts.
Saturday Night: Fair skies, mild. Air Temp: Low 60s; Water Temp: 56; Waves: 1-2 ft.; Wind: SW 5-15 kts.
