Sunshine and warm temperatures will continue into the end of the weekend for Metro Detroit (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – The upper level of high-pressure will continue to control the forecast throughout the entire weekend, but it slowly moves off to the east, we will continue the warming trend through the end of the weekend and into early next week.

After some morning patchy dense fog on Sunday through mid-morning, expect plenty of sunshine throughout the day. High temperatures heading back into the lower 70s, running about 10+ degrees above average for this time in late October.

The dry weather sticks around for the first few days of next week, expect plenty of sunshine on Monday with a little more cloud cover rolling in by Tuesday. High temperature is heading for the middle 70s on Monday, then dropping into the lower 70s by Tuesday.

Our next chance of rain rolls in with a cold front by the time we get to Wednesday. Expect plenty of cloud cover with a chance of rain showers on Wednesday, high temperatures heading for the upper 60s by the middle of next week.

We will dry things out, looking ahead into the end of next week, but behind the cold front, a return to more fall like temperatures. High temperatures heading into the middle 50s on Thursday than warming into the lower 60s by the end of the week on Friday.

Tracking the Tropics: Hurricane Oscar has rapidly developed over the last 24 hours over parts of the Caribbean. Within a few hours, the storm went from a low end tropical storm to a low end hurricane after Air Force Hurricane Hunter Reconnaissance flights found hurricane force winds with a very, very small 3 mile wide diameter eye within Oscar. In terms of landfall into the United States, we are not expecting that as of right now. Oscar should brush the coast of Cuba in the next few days before turning Northeast, heading through the Caribbean and into the Atlantic Ocean away from the United States.
