Air Quality Concerns

After some sunshine and hazy skies to end the week on Friday, we will keep some of those hazy conditions into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of the weekend on Saturday.

The smoke from the Canadian wildfires will be sticking around to start the weekend on Saturday, our air quality index is into the moderate range for the day, but south and west of Metro Detroit we are looking at a little worse conditions in the air quality index. So if you suffer from respiratory conditions, or have trouble being outside with the air quality being a little worse, you may want to stay indoors as we had throughout the day.

Looking ahead

We will keep a mixture of sunshine and clouds around with the hazy skies for the start of the weekend. High temperatures heading into the upper 70s by Saturday afternoon.

We will increase the cloud cover overnight tonight or early on Sunday morning, but the dry conditions will be sticking around. Overnight lows driving into the upper 50s.

Looking ahead to the end of the weekend on Sunday, we will keep a little more cloud cover into the forecast as an area of low pressure works south of Metro Detroit. There is a chance of a few rain showers south of Metro Detroit throughout the day on Sunday as well. Most places should stay dry throughout the day, high temperatures into the middle 70s by Sunday afternoon.

Chances for rain showers will stick around the forecast for the first part of next week on Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures of the middle 70s can be expected both Monday and Tuesday.

Once that frontal boundary pulls off to the east, we will dry things out, looking ahead into the second half of next week. High temperature is warming back into more summer like values. Expect high at the lower 80s on Wednesday, then into the middle 80s.
