The wildfire smoke over Southeast Michigan is lighter, but people may still notice some haze.
After spending days with some of the worst air of any major city in the world, Detroit is getting relief just in time for this weekend’s outdoor activities.
Saturday night will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. Lows will be in the lower-50s in Sandusky and Port Huron, mid-50s in West Bloomfield and Romeo, and upper 50s in Detroit and Monroe.
With northeasterly winds at around 5-10 mph, conditions will be decent for a campfire.
Sunday
Whether you have plans to attend the Motor City Irish Fest in Livonia’s Greenmead Historical Park, Motor City Pride in Downtown Detroit’s Hart Plaza, or the Tigers game on Sunday, expect seasonable conditions with the chance of a few rain showers.
Most of Southeast Michigan will see temperatures top out in the lower-70s on Sunday. Be prepared for rain in the morning and afternoon. Otherwise, the skies will be mostly cloudy with some haze. Winds will be out of the east at 5-10 mph.
A few more rain showers are possible Sunday night. Expect lows to be in the mid-50s in Howell and Lapeer and near 60 degrees in Detroit and Grosse Ile.
Workweek
Highs will be in the mid- to upper-70s to begin the workweek, but a couple of showers will also be possible on Monday and Tuesday.
After wet and slightly cooler weather, the second half of the week is shaping up to offer a preview of summer across Metro Detroit.
Temperatures will jump to 80 degrees or higher Wednesday through Friday.
