4Warn Weather – With this muggy airmass in place and a stationary boundary nearby, the chance for showers and storms continues for the rest of the workweek.
For Wednesday afternoon, scattered showers and storms continue to move through, mainly along and south of I-94.
Some may reach closer to I-96, but the bulk of the coverage will be further south.
Most of what we see on Wednesday afternoon will be healthy, but severe weather remains possible, with the most significant concern being strong winds.
The best chance to see the most vigorous activity will be closer to the Ohio state line.
This is where the Storm Prediction Center has issued a marginal risk for severe weather (Level 1 of 5).
Later this evening, the rain is expected to exit and diminish, leaving us with partly cloudy skies overnight.
It will still be a mild and muggy night as this airmass isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Thursday
The chance for showers and storms continues during the day on Thursday, but should be weaker than what we saw on Wednesday.
Friday
Later on Friday, more showers and storms are expected as a weak cold front moves through the area.
Weekend
Over the weekend, more dry time returns, and while the humidity drops a little, it still stays pretty muggy around here.
With that, it will feel like it will be between 90 and 100 degrees.
Next week
Early next week, we will finally see a change take place in the overall pattern.
Another cold front moves through later in the day, bringing not only more showers and storm chances, but also somewhat drier air for the middle of the week.
We’re not talking a big drop in the humidity, but you’ll notice a difference for sure.
