4Warn Weather – Warm and humid conditions return today as a warm front lifts across the region through the morning. That front could lead to a few isolated showers and heavy downpours. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s and feels like the 90s with the heat index.
Storm Potential
Showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening and some could reach severe limits ahead and along an approaching cold front. There is a marginal risk (Level 1 out of 5) for severe weather between 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. across all of Southeast Michigan. The most likely threats will be damaging wind gusts to 60 mph and flooding due to heavy downpours.
Rest of the Week
A more seasonal stretch ensues Tuesday through the end of the week with daytime temperatures well into the 80s, paired with sunshine.
Holiday Weekend
The Fourth of July is shaping up to be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 80s. We crank up the heat of Saturday with a chance for rain returning late and holding on to storm chances Sunday with highs in the low 90s both days.
