Stretch of hot, mostly dry weather heading into Independence Day in Metro Detroit

Tuesday, Wednesday highs up upper 80s

4Warn Weather – The chance of a few rain showers and an isolated thunderstorm will continue into the night in Southeast Michigan, but the threat of severe weather has passed.

A cold front will sweep across Metro Detroit, bringing relief from the humidity, but temperatures will remain seasonably hot this week.

Apart from the slight chance of rain, skies will be partly to mostly cloudy on Monday night.

Expect lows near 65 in Ann Arbor, Howell, Holly, Grand Blanc, Lapeer, and Sandusky.

It will be near 70 degrees in Garden City, Allen Park, Detroit, and Roseville. Westerly winds will be 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday

There will be a chance of a couple of rain showers on Tuesday morning. Otherwise, skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy.

Highs will be in the mid-80s, with winds out of the west at 5 to 10 mph and gusts up to 20 mph.

Tuesday night will be mostly clear, with lows ranging from 60 to 65 degrees.

Wednesday

A stray shower cannot be ruled out for Wednesday, but the chance is low. Most people will enjoy partly cloudy conditions and warm weather. Plan for highs in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-60s.

Thursday

Thursday’s forecast calls for sunshine and highs in the mid-80s. Lows will be in the lower to mid-60s.

Holiday and extended outlook: July 4th and beyond
