4Warn Weather – Metro Detroit is turning out to be the best weather day of the week. With temperatures peaking in the lower 80s and low humidity, conditions are ideal for summer fun and outdoor activities.

Temperatures will be in the 70s for most of the evening, with increasing clouds, as Tigers fans enjoy Tuesday night’s game at Comerica Park.

Overnight, isolated showers will move toward Southeast Michigan.

Temperatures are expected to fall to the mid-60s in Ann Arbor, Howell, Flint, Lapeer, Sandusky, and Port Huron.

Lows will be near 70 degrees in Monroe, Livonia, Detroit, Dearborn, and Warren.

Wednesday’s Setup: Ahead of a slow-moving cold front and area of low pressure, Metro Detroit faces rising humidity and atmospheric instability, setting the stage for scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.

Commuting & Travel

  • Morning: Light morning showers may leave roads slick.
  • Afternoon–Evening: Heavy rain and sudden downpours can reduce visibility and increase hydroplaning danger. Plan extra travel time and slow down during peak storm periods.

Outdoors & Recreation

  • Lawn & Yard Care: Hold off on mowing or working outside during storm windows; strong winds and rain could disrupt projects and damage equipment.
  • Other Outdoor Plans: Morning activities are more viable. Afternoon gatherings should have backup indoor options, if possible. Be sure to take a poncho or umbrella to the Tigers’ afternoon game.

Thursday is expected to bounce back with more seasonable weather. It will be partly cloudy, but isolated showers remain possible.

Expect highs will be in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-60s.

Friday

Friday will be slightly warmer, with highs in the mid-to-upper 80s, and there is a chance of an isolated shower.

Weekend forecast

Looking ahead, the weather will be warmer and wet over the weekend.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the upper 80s to 90 degrees, and lows will be in the upper 60s.

Sunday will also bring a chance of rain, but mainly in the morning.
