4Warn Weather – The chance of showers and storms is increasing for the middle part of the week, and what we see could be on the stronger side.

Before those storms arrive, we will continue to monitor air quality for the rest of this Tuesday, as we remain under an Air Quality Alert for the remainder of the day.

Wednesday

Those with breathing difficulties should plan to take it easy and try to stay indoors with filtered air. The air quality is expected to improve significantly by Wednesday.

Overnight tonight, all is quiet weather-wise, but it remains hot.

Temperatures eventually drop into the lower 70s before daybreak Wednesday.

The chance of showers and storms returns on Wednesday, possibly as early as the morning hours.

That being said, the chance really improves after lunch and throughout the afternoon.

Spotty showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop, some of which could be on the stronger side.

That being said, because coverage is expected to be isolated, not everyone sees rain.

Those that do, though, could see brief heavy downpours and gusty winds.

We are all under a marginal risk for severe weather, which is level 1 out of 5 on the severe weather scale. This activity should fade as we approach sunset on Wednesday.

Thursday

Another round of showers and a few storms is looking likely on Thursday. What we see these days, though, is expected to be a bit more widespread.

Most everyone should get some rain on Thursday. Severe weather remains a low threat, but it is again possible.

Beyond the mid-week rain, cooler temperatures are expected to move in. Highs to end the week are expected to be in the lower 80s, which is below normal for this time of year.

Another round of storms looks to move in for parts of the weekend. It’s worth noting that the timing of this next round of rain is still very much up in the air.

Currently, we’re leaning towards late Saturday/Sunday morning, but long-range data has been fluctuating on this, so we’ll need to fine-tune this part of the forecast over the coming days.
