Terrific Tuesday before heat and humidity soar in Metro Detroit

Thursday expected to be hottest day of week, with heat indices possibly exceeding 100

Pleasant conditions with low humidity are expected in Metro Detroit on Tuesday. A few clouds mix in this afternoon with highs on either side of 80. (WDIV)

DETROIT – Tuesday will be much like yesterday, just a touch warmer. Expect another pleasant day with sunshine and low humidity.

A few clouds mix in this afternoon with highs on either side of 80. Skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy tonight with lows around 60.

Heat Wave

Heat and humidity will rise tomorrow with highs close to 90. Thursday will be the hottest day of the week with heat indices possibly exceeding 100.

Some storms are also possible, especially overnight Thursday into Friday. There is a marginal (level 1) risk of severe weather on Thursday.

Warm and muggy conditions persist Friday through much of the weekend with additional shower/storm chances.

The rain will only drop our temperatures a couple of degrees this weekend with highs in the upper 80s.
