4Warn Weather – After a hot and humid day with showers and thunderstorms for most of the region, some of those being strong to severe, and also producing extremely heavy rainfall, we are going to keep the heating and humidity into the forecast for the next few days before some cooler changes work into the region by the time we get to the middle and second half of the week.
We will keep the chance of a few thunderstorms under the forecast through the early evening hours on Monday night, but then we will clear things out, and it will remain warm and muggy overnight. Expect overnight lows to drop into the lower 70s by Tuesday morning.
We will be keeping an eye on what happens to the north west of the region overnight and early on Tuesday morning. We will keep a mixture of sunshine and clouds into the forecast, it will be hot and it will be humid once again for Tuesday.
But we are anticipating a little more cloud cover in the morning, thanks to a line of thunderstorms that is expected to move through Minnesota overnight into early tomorrow morning, and that cloud cover will work directly into the region.
That will help keep daytime temperatures down a little bit, but heat index values will still be well into the 90s looking ahead into Tuesday afternoon. High temperatures heading back into the mid to upper 80s by Tuesday afternoon.
We will also bring in the chance for a few thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening.
Any thunderstorm that does develop could produce heavy rainfall due to all the moisture we will have around from the humidity throughout the day.
Thunderstorm chances are sticking around the forecast looking ahead into the middle of the week as our cold front pulls through the region. But once that cold front pulls through, we are going to see some more refreshing changes move in with below-average temperatures heading our way.
Well, most of the region remains dry on Thursday, we will keep the chance of a thunderstorm or two in the south of Metro Detroit down near the state line as that cold front continues to pull off to the east.
High temperatures dropping below average, into the upper 70s by Thursday afternoon.
High pressure will build into the region, looking ahead into the end of the week, so expect plenty of Sunshine Friday through the end of the weekend on Sunday.
High temperatures are starting to warm up a little out of the 70s by the end of the week, and into the lower 80s by the time we get into the weekend.
