Metro Detroit under another Air Quality Alert as Canadian wildfires continue to burn

Air quality alert in effect until midnight

Another air quality alert is in effect for sensitive groups on Sunday, Aug. 3; otherwise, a pleasant day with highs in the low 80s. (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – Beautiful sunshine might be obscured by the haze of poor air quality across Michigan.

Another alert is in effect for sensitive groups until midnight tonight, but otherwise, it will be a pleasant day with highs in the low 80s.

High pressure dominates most of the week. This means sunshine and normal summer temperatures almost every day this week.

But it also means the air is not moving, and the air quality will likely be poor for several days.

Temperatures will warm by the end of the week back into the upper 80s, close to 90 degrees.

But after a very wet July, August appears to be starting with very few chances for rain.
