After a dry start to the day on Saturday, there were a few scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas of Metro Detroit. A few of those thunderstorms were strong to severe, leaving behind some wind damage, hail, and heavy rainfall in portions of Livingston and Washtenaw counties. Chances of showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast for the end of the weekend on Sunday, but we are not looking for any severe weather throughout the day.
Chances for showers and thunderstorms return by the time we get to the end of the weekend and start of next week. Expect partly cloudy skies throughout the day on Sunday, with chances for showers and thunderstorms rolling in by the afternoon and evening. High temperature is dropping back into the mid-80s, looking ahead into the afternoon.
We will keep some cloud cover in the forecast looking ahead into the evening and overnight hours tonight. Partly cloudy skies can be expected. Overnight lows will drop into the mid-60s by early Monday morning.
We will keep the chances of showers and thunderstorms into the start of next week on Monday. High temperatures in the mid-80s on Sunday will drop into the lower 80s by Monday.
Another chance of showers and thunderstorms rolls into the region looking ahead into Tuesday, but that also brings in some cooler temperatures to go with it. High temperatures in the lower 80s on Tuesday will stick around into the middle of next week as well. A mixture of sunshine and clouds for Wednesday will give way to mostly sunny skies by the time we get to Thursday.
Dry weather continues to stick around in the forecast for the end of next week on Friday. High temperatures are expected to remain in the lower 80s by Friday afternoon.
