TEASEABLE ELEMENTS:

  • Sunshine and lower humidity values for the start of the week
  • Thunderstorm chances increase with cold front for Tuesday
  • Cooler temperatures move in for mid-week
  • Drier weather pattern kicks in for late week and into weekend

After a dry end of the weekend with Sunshine and a little cloud cover, we will keep the dry weather into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of the week on Monday. Expect a little cloud cover to stick around in the morning before going mostly sunny into the afternoon. High temperatures remaining below average, heading into the lower 80s by Monday afternoon.

We bring a little more cloud cover into the forecast overnight tonight, and partly cloudy skies can be expected. We may see a few showers overnight, but I do think most of us will stay dry. Overnight lows dropping into the lower 50s by early Tuesday morning.

Our next chance of showers and thunderstorms rolls into the region by the time we get to Tuesday. We will see a little bit of sunshine and some cloud cover before those chances of showers and thunderstorms roll in. This is our next frontal boundary that we rolled through with an area of low pressure Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening. High temperatures a few degrees warmer, warming into the mid-80s by Tuesday afternoon.

Once that front boundary rolls off to the east, we will keep a mixture of sunshine and clouds into the forecast looking ahead into the middle of the week on Wednesday. Cooler temperatures moving in by the middle of the week as well, expect high temperatures to warm into the upper 70s to lower 80s by Wednesday afternoon.

We’ve got an extended dry period heading our way through the end of the week and into the start of next weekend. An expansive ridge of high-pressure that will help drive Hurricane Erin out to sea, and then off to the north and east into the Atlantic Ocean will keep us dry through the end of the week and the weekend.

Expect mostly sunny skies Thursday all the way through the end of the weekend on Sunday. High temperature is warming out of the low 80s by Thursday, into the middle 80s by Saturday. Then we get some below-average temperatures heading our way. Expect high temperatures to drop into the upper 70s by the time we get to Sunday.
