4Warn Weather – In Metro Detroit, spotty rain and a few storms moved through the area today, with nothing severe developing.
Showers are expected to become isolated over the next couple of hours, clearing out as the evening moves on.
By tomorrow morning around 6 or 7, the skies look mostly cloudy with occasional breaks of sun.
Temperatures are expected to reach the upper 60s for the ride to school and mid-70s by noon, with an afternoon high of 78 degrees and only a slight chance of leftover showers by late afternoon.
For anyone snapping that classic first day of school shot at the bus stop, it’s looking like a dry and comfortable morning weather-wise.

Warming up for the weekend, then a cool snap moves in
As the week rolls on, the chill will give way to some warmth again. Thursday is expected to bring sunshine with highs near 81 degrees, and Friday is shaping up to be just as pleasant.
Saturday leads off hotter, with temps expected to reach 85 degrees before a cold front sweeps through.
That front is likely to drop temperatures into the 70s next week.
A real cool snap is expected midweek, with morning lows dipping back into the 50s. There’s only a slight chance for rain as the front passes, so most of Metro Detroit should stay dry.
In the tropics, two systems off the coast of Africa are being monitored for potential development.
One has a 60% chance of strengthening over the next week, and another stands at 30%. Their courses and potential impact remain uncertain for now.
