After lots of sunshine to end the work week, we will keep the trend of dry weather into the forecast, looking ahead through the start of the weekend on Saturday.
With the cool temperatures out the door on Saturday morning, we are expecting some patchy dense fog to develop, which should burn off by midmorning. Otherwise, we are expecting mostly sunny skies throughout the day. Temperatures a few degrees warmer this afternoon than what we had on Friday. Expect high temperatures to warm into the low of mid-70s by Saturday afternoon.
Mainly clear skies will be expected overnight tonight, and it will be another cool night for everybody. Overnight low is dropping into the lower 50s, and back into the mid to upper 40s outside of the metro.
High pressure will continue to control the forecast through the end of the weekend and start of next week on Monday. Mostly sunny skies can be expected both days, and we will continue with a gradual warming trend into early next week. High temperatures into the upper 70s on Sunday, and Monday will warm into the lower 80s by the time we get to Tuesday.
The sunshine will continue for Tuesday and a part of Wednesday, before our next system moves into the region, bringing chances for showers and thunderstorms. That system looks to move in late Wednesday night and into Thursday. High temperature is warming into the low 80s by the time we get to Wednesday afternoon.
Once that frontal boundary moves through on Thursday, we will drop temperatures back to below average territory once again with another cool blast of air coming in from Canada for the end of next week and the first weekend in September. High temperatures will only make it into the mid-60s by the time we get to Thursday and into next Friday.
