After some sunshine and some clouds for the start of the weekend on Saturday, we’re bringing in more sunshine and little high cloud cover along with seasonable temperatures for the end of the weekend on Sunday.
High pressure off to the North in Canada will control our forecast for the next few days, and that will continue the trend of mostly sunny skies after most of us cleared out after midnight, overnight and into Sunday morning. Most of us are looking at a frost and/or freeze on Sunday morning as well. While we start the day into the 30s, we will warm things up into the mid 50s by the time we get to late this afternoon.
The sunshine continues into the first few days of next week, expect mostly sunny skies for Monday before the more cloud cover rolls into the forecast by the time we get to Tuesday and into Wednesday. High temperatures warming into the middle 50s to start next week, before dropping into the lower 50s by the time we get to Wednesday.
One change to the forecast is, we have taken the chances of rain out of the forecast until we get closer to the end of the week. We’re going to watch an area of low pressure developed to our north and west by the middle of the week, and right now the data swings that low pressure system far south enough of the region, that we would just seen an increase in cloud cover, but would remain dry until closer to the end of the week. Expect an increase in cloud cover looking ahead into Wednesday evening and into Thursday morning.
This keeps mostly cloudy skies into the forecast through Thursday, before that chance of rain is possible late Thursday and into the end of the week on Friday. Temperatures getting colder by the time we get to the end of the week as well. High temperatures only into the lower 50s by Thursday and into the end of next week for Halloween on Friday as well. As of right now, it looks like you will need the rain coat looking ahead into trick-or-treating on Friday evening.
TROPICAL UPDATE: Melissa has strengthened into a hurricane in the last 24 hours, and has undergone rapid intensification.
