Metro Detroit weather forecast: Quick warm up -- then ice concerns

Wednesday highs in upper 30s; Thursday highs in upper 40s

4Warn Weather – A quick warm-up could cause travel problems for Friday morning.

Tuesday night, a blanket of clouds and southwesterly winds keep our temps in the upper 20s.

There is a very slight chance of isolated drizzle tomorrow morning.

Wednesday

Otherwise, a bit of sunshine mixed with the clouds on Wednesday as highs reach the upper 30s.

Thursday

Rain and wind take over on Thursday as highs push all the way to the mid 40s for the first time since Nov. 26.

Friday

But all the snow melt will cause plenty of ponding, and roads and sidewalks will re-freeze overnight Thursday into Friday morning.

This could cause all kinds of problems for commutes and schools.

Weekend forecast

Highs on Friday stay below freezing all day. Back into the 30s for the weekend.
