4Warn Weather - Southeast Michigan hit the high temperature for Wednesday in the early morning hours. A strong cold front coming through during the morning will cause temperatures to fall quickly, bring snow to the area, and shift winds to the Northwest.
Temperatures & Wind Chill - By Wednesday afternoon, temperatures will be in the mid 20s with wind chills in the teens. We’ll drop to around 20 degrees with wind chills near 10 degrees for the evening commute.
Temperatures will continue to fall from there, leading to overnight lows near 10 degrees. Wind chills for Thursday morning will be at or a bit below 0 degrees.
Wind - Wind shifts to the Northwest Wednesday morning at 10-15mph with gusts to 30mph at times. Wind gusts will fall to near 20mph overnight before winds turn lighter Thursday afternoon.
Snow - This front also brings snow to the region Wednesday with most picking up around 1″ or less. The exception will be into the thumb closer to the Lake Huron shoreline, where you could see around half a foot due to lake effect. Huron and Sanilac counties are under a Winter Storm Watch beginning at 3pm Wednesday. Any untreated roads could become slick so you may want to allow a little extra time on your evening commute.
After some sun Thursday the next chance of snow will be Friday.
