Metro Detroit sees brighter skies Sunday ahead of the next snow chance

4Warn Weather - Scattered light snow showers continue to diminish across Southeast Michigan Saturday evening, coming to an end tonight.

Cloud cover will decrease overnight and Sunday morning, helping temperatures to drop quickly but giving way to more sun to end the weekend.

Sunday morning’s temperatures will be around 0° if not a bit below. Northwesterly winds at 5-10 mph will keep it feeling more like -5° to -15°.

At least we aren’t the only ones who will have a cold start to the week. A strong system to the east is bringing snow to the Carolinas and flurry chances to Florida!

Temperatures across Southeast Michigan will warm to the lower 20s Sunday afternoon under mostly sunny skies. We’ll then fall to the single digits Sunday night.

Clouds begin to move back in Monday morning ahead of our next system, which brings the next chance for snow. Accumulations look to be light with an inch or less possible throughout the day Monday.

High temperatures Monday will be in the mid 20s.

We’ll see more highs in the mid 20s for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
