Flurries continue in Metro Detroit Tuesday with better chance of snow to end the week

Flurries are in the forecast Tuesday with more snow possible Thursday night into Friday

4WARN WEATHER – Light snow showers across Southeast Michigan on Tuesday morning are expected to continue throughout much of the day.

Radar at 11am Tuesday (WDIV)

A cold front passing through the region is keeping winds out of the northwest at 5-10 mph, keeping our lake effect machine running. Scattered light snow will cause visibility to fall to around a mile or two at times, and we could see slick spots on the roads.

Light accumulations are possible across all of Southeast Michigan before snow tapers off later today.

Some clouds move out tonight, giving way to some sunshine on Wednesday. Wednesday morning temperatures will be in the single digits before we reach the lower 20s in the afternoon.

Thursday morning also starts in the single digits with highs in the mid 20s. Most of Thursday will be dry, but there will be more cloud cover ahead of the next round of snow.

A clipper system looks to bring snow to the area later Thursday into Friday, with at least light accumulations possible.

We then turn colder for the weekend with highs in the teens.
