DETROIT – It’s finally Friday and we’re finally in a comfortable stretch of weather! Dry conditions are expected through the weekend with highs around 40. We continue to warm above average into early next week.
Today
It’s a frigid start given that clear skies have resulted in radiational cooling as temperatures continue to fall into the single digits to low teens.
Grab the sunglasses as you head out the door. Between sunshine and southwesterly wind we will rebound nicely today with highs in the upper 30s.
Falling into the 20s tonight, so not quite as cold as last night. Worth mentioning that the top tier of the Thumb could get clipped with a few flurries.
Valentine’s Weekend
Quiet weather for the holiday with above-average temperatures, highs close to 40. Similar temperatures on Sunday with a bit more cloud cover.
Next Week
The potential for active weather increases by midweek. We will be fine-tuning in the days ahead, but as of right now it looks like we could see rain as early as late Tuesday, but ore likely to be widespread on Wednesday which will be our warmest day of the week.
Highs on Wednesday are trending in the low 50s.
