Southeast Michigan “springs forward” into more sunshine and warmth

4Warn Weather - Although Saturday was warm, Southeast Michigan saw lots of clouds and scattered rain. We’ll dry out tonight with decreasing cloud cover into Sunday.

Winds will be westerly at 10-15 mph with gusts in the mid 20s. Temperatures will fall fast this evening on the backside of a cold front, dropping to the mid 30s overnight.

Reminder that we “spring forward” overnight, setting the clocks ahead an hour. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. and will end on the first Sunday of November.

We lose an hour of sleep but will be able to enjoy more sunshine in the evening. Our sunrise time shifts to shortly before 8 a.m. with the sun setting just after 7:30 p.m.

We’ll have mostly sunny skies Sunday with afternoon temperatures reaching the mid to upper 50s.

Winds will be out of the southwest at 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph possible, so it will be a breezy end to the weekend.

Monday we turn warmer with highs in the mid 60s under mostly sunny skies.

The next chance of rain holds off until later Tuesday and lingers into Wednesday.
