4Warn Weather - Southeast Michigan had a cold start to Monday morning with overnight low temperatures falling to the 20s in most neighborhoods.
With the growing season having begun in most areas, Freeze Warnings were issued into Monday morning advising the protection of outdoor plants. While it was cold, it’s not abnormal to have freezing temperatures in April. Our average last freeze is April 24.
Monday afternoon will feature plenty of blue skies, but a northwesterly breeze will help to keep highs mainly in the mid 40s.
Tonight will be another chilly one with temperatures dropping into the 30s.
You may want to cover your plants or bring them indoors again tonight.
We rebound nicely starting tomorrow.
Tuesday afternoon temperatures will be in the mid 60s to low 70s. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with the chance for sprinkles to spotty showers, especially closer to the Ohio state border.
Temperatures will stay warm for the rest of the week.
The next best chance for rain will be Friday and Saturday.
