It’s shaping up to be a terrific Tuesday across Metro Detroit as dry weather and abundant sunshine continue to dominate the forecast.
Temperatures will top out near seasonal averages in the upper 70s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies, providing ideal conditions for outdoor activities. The pleasant weather pattern remains firmly in place through midweek, with highs on either side of 80 degrees Wednesday and humidity levels staying relatively comfortable.

A noticeable change arrives later this week as temperatures begin to trend warmer and humidity levels steadily increase. By Friday and into the weekend, Metro Detroit will experience a more summer-like feel with muggy conditions returning to the region. Along with the added warmth and humidity comes the next opportunity for rainfall. Forecast models indicate the chance for showers and thunderstorms developing as early as Friday afternoon and continuing at times through the weekend. While the timing and coverage of rain will become clearer over the next few days, the dry stretch that has prevailed across Southeast Michigan is expected to come to an end with more prominent rain and storm chances on Saturday.
Until then, soak up the sun, warm temperatures and low humidity before our weather pattern turns more active heading into the weekend. Although even with rain chances, temperatures will remain in the 80s through early next week.
