Dry, seasonably average weather settles into Metro Detroit early this week, with a mix of sunshine and clouds today and more sunshine expected Tuesday.
Temperatures will remain in the low 80s today and Tuesday, keeping conditions comfortable for mid-August. A few scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop late Tuesday afternoon and evening, mainly closer to the Thumb. Most of Metro Detroit should remain dry during this time, but the chance for rain increases Tuesday night into Wednesday as the next cold front moves through. A line of showers with embedded thunderstorms will be possible before daybreak.
