Cool start in the 50s with 70s later in SE Michigan

DETROITMore marvelous weather for Metro Detroit on this Monday.

We all start on the cooler side in the upper 40s to low 50s and some patchy fog in some of our rural areas but skies are clear. You can expect mostly sunny skies through the day today after some patchy fog burns off after 9am. That sun will bring highs into the mid 70s with light winds ESW 5-10 mph.

Tuesday looks very similar to today with manageable morning temps in the low 50s and afternoon highs in the mid to maybe upper 70s. We will likely see some milky skies or overcast conditions moving in toward dinner and overnight ahead of the remnants of Irma. Showers will hold off and will struggle to try to move in mid week.

We have light rain chances early Wednesday -- the remnant moisture from once Category 5 Hurricane Irma. The models show this moisture really struggling to stay together as it moves into our dry air. Still, we have shower chances from 7 a.m. until about 2 a.m. with spotty showers moving up from the south. Afternoon highs should still get well into the 70s with some breaks through the afternoon.

We are hoping for rain Hump Day because that could be it for almost another week.
