Metro Detroit weather forecast: Temps near freezing Wednesday morning

Highs in the upper 40s

DETROIT – A chilly start with lows dropping into the low 30s through your Wednesday morning, but roads are dry around Metro Detroit.

Clouds will be filling in throughout the day leaving us with overcast or mostly cloudy skies most of the afternoon.

That will make it hard for temps to warm today, so expect highs in the mid to upper 40s and lighter winds S 5-12 mph. Rain showers ahead of and along a warm front will move in this evening, or just after midnight.

Thursday forecast

We will see a few rounds of showers on Thursday, both early in the morning and then again in the late afternoon and evening. This will be all rain as highs warm into the upper 50s to low 60s with a short lived warm up. Rain showers will be steady late tomorrow and overnight into early Friday.

After early morning showers end, expect slightly cooler air to bring numbers back into the low and mid 50s with a nice mix of sun and clouds.  The weekend should be mostly dry but rain showers are possible in the late afternoon on Saturday. While highs stay in the 50s Saturday, we should see 60s on Sunday. More wet weather is moving in Monday. Track sky conditions and our next rain chances with our Local4Casters app.
