One killed in multiple vehicle crash on I-94 in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR – One person was killed in a multiple vehicle crash on eastbound I-94 to the east of Ann Arbor Saline Road on Wednesday evening.
At 5:45 p.m., several vehicles from Pittsfield Township Fire Department responded to the incident.

One driver was killed on impact after they were rear-ended at high way speed.
“The deceased required hydraulic rescue equipment (Jaws of Life) to be extricated from the vehicle,” reads a statement from the Ann Arbor Fire Department.
Another driver was transported to the hospital by Huron Valley Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, according to a release.
The stretch of I-94 was closed for hours and Michigan State Police conducted a crash investigation at the site.
