Lunar New Year celebration coming to Ann Arbor’s Briarwood Mall

Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit at upcoming local event

ANN ARBOR – Briarwood Mall will be hosting its annual Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 12:30-5 p.m.

The community event will feature a variety of performances, including a Dragon and Lion Parade, and craft stations for kids.

The main event will take place in the East Wing while crafts, like Chinese calligraphy, will be available in the JCPenney Wing.

The Dragon and Lion Parade will kick off the celebration at 12:30 p.m. and will be followed by performances from waist drum dancers, Chinese folk dancers, martial arts and Tai Chi masters and children’s Chinese folk dancers.

A selfie station will be available from 3-5 p.m. in Center Court.
