Jazz on the River hits Trenton

17th annual event at Elizabeth Park

TRENTON, Mich. – Jazz on the River will provide a second day of music and fun on August 5 along the river's edge at Elizabeth Park in Trenton. 

International artists including Najee, Kirk Whalum, Pieces of a Dream, Dave McMurray and Alexander Zonjic are being featured during the festival, which started Saturday. This star-studded extravaganza also features Detroit's significant mainstays and emerging artists including Kimmie Horn, Al McKenzie and Matt Marshak.

Grills and alcoholic beverages are not permitted into Wayne County parks.  BBQ ribs and chicken, hot dogs, burgers & brats, veggies, ice cream and other special treats are available for purchase.

Parking is available in Elizabeth Park for a $5 donation in support of Wayne County Parks.  Another parking option is available at the corner of Jefferson and West Road and Jefferson and Elm. Visitors can ride SMART's free shuttles to Elizabeth Park from these local parking areas. Shuttles will run continuously throughout the festival starting at 1 p.m.
