Urban League of Detroit and Southeastern Michigan honors 'Distinguished Warriors'

DETROIT – The Urban League of Detroit and Southeastern Michigan is celebrating 100 years of providing services to the Southeastern Michigan community. 

On March 17, 2016 the Urban League recognized five outstanding "Distinguished Warriors", George P. Barnes, Jr., Congressman John James Conyers, Jr., Roy Levy Williams, and posthumously Captain Mildred V. Leonard and Dr. Daniel Krichbaum.

Distinguished Warriors are individuals who have accomplished outstanding work in the areas of human and civil rights, and based on their service to our community they are most deserving of this honor.
